Bars 3d
How to read it
Each column is one item and every column prints its value. Perspective makes back columns look a little smaller, so read the numbers, not the heights.
Best for
Three to seven things whose sheer size should feel physical — the tallest, the heaviest, the biggest.
When not to use it
The values are close and the story is the small gap between them; a flat bar chart compares precisely, a 3D one does not.
The common mistake
Judging a column by eye against one further back, where perspective has already shrunk it.
Example data
The world's tallest buildings
Height to architectural top, metres
The sample dataset this format ships with, drawn the way the site draws every clip's numbers — hover, sort or step through it. Figures as given by its source line: Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH).
